I do think anything that is unexpected or extreme (non-consent, young-appearing characters, various queer stuff, hard kink stuff, foot fetish, whatever unusual thing people are sometimes into) can be ruining the mood for the player if it is not what they expected to come across. If labeled appropriate and thus avoidable, there is no issue at all.
One AVN had a "blackmail suspect" option to help solve a murder case - but it got unexpectedly extremely rapey and not at all what i expected (or wanted in that scenario). I found that really off-putting, because it just came out of nowhere. Similar to what you describe with NTR.
Other games do that better by allowing pre-emptive decisions in the settings or by clearly labelling implications of decisions if they are out of the ordinary. If that is done, everything is fine, in my book.

I’m not the developer but look at it like a TV series. It may have 1 season or 10 seasons, depending on the success. Season 1 is complete, he may polish it, but there will be no more story content added until season 2. You can’t fault a developer if the game is not making money and they’re forced to stop. However, this game looks like it’s doing pretty good, so I’m guessing we will see multiple seasons.
Games are not like TV series, in every other genre, FPS, RPG, Platform game, racing game, ANY other game will have maybe alpha, then beta then finished game (always called 1.0). If it's a small indie developer, you may buy the beta to support them, but you know 99% of the time you will have the full game eventually. If you check Itch you will see many Adult VN games (at least 60-70%) that have not ha an update for many months, sometime even years. Sometimes you can find out that you can buy a 0.3 version and be told if you want the 0.9 version, you need to go on Patreon. Many devs say the game is $10, but then says you can only get the game on Patreon, then you go there and find out you can't download the game on a $1 a month, you can only download it on a $4 a month Patreon, so how is the game $10?! Finally, many adult VNs are called 1.0 or higher, when they're still unfinished. This can only be to confuse the customer!
This means many games are never going to be finished, yet Itch keeps them up here on their site. To me, Adult VNs and Itch.io are the dodgiest "three shell" games and website in the whole gaming market. I have wasted too much money on unfinished games that I know now will never be finished. I am just not going to do that any more. And yet gamers are now so dumb I often see comments giving a game 10/10, when it's barely a finished game! So you carry on deluding yourself, and I will spend money only on games on steam where you can ask a comment asking if it's the full game, and if the response is "yes", then i'll buy it. Just bought the game and I can't download it. The itch.io app doesn't download the app because it is hosted on an incompatible third-party website. Going to that website (Mega), I can't download the game either because the site stops the download halfway through and wants me to pay for a Mega account.

I actually picked up the game on this site in a bundle but also have it on Steam now as well. I'm pretty early in and enjoying the story. It's be cool to talk to other players about the game on discord but sadly it seems like you can only have access to the chat if you support the game on Patreon. The guide is pretty nice as well but I was expecting more of an overall game guide that has tips on all parts of the game. What comes with it is just a route guide for relationships. Still very helpful, just not what I was ultimately expecting seeing as the game itself pretty much tells you how to progress with characters
What is the system behind the spell casting based on? I am trying to do one for Victoria (Fire Bolt) and no matter what I do, it seems my result is completely random. I have tried staying in the lines, but the score is all over the place. I've tried for speed and still the score seems random. I can't figure it out. It seems much more difficult / random than the entrance exam system.
Spellcasting is based on timing only. Wait until the magical symbol is filled up, and then click. Wait too long, and the symbol resets again and you get a low score. Clicking a split second before the symbol is filled up completely works best for me.
As far as I can tell, tracing the symbol as quickly and as accurately as you can is used for the entrance exam only. It's a shame, because I think that's actually a cool little mini-game and more interesting than the timing based one.
Eh, it's $10. I work at Walmart (so I'm hardly rich) and that's not a lot of money. Wouldn't support it on Patreon for $10 monthly, but $10 for a game that is slowly being finished and provides probably 5 hours of content (when I bought it) isn't bad at all.
